About the Duo
“It’s extraordinarily exquisite in its combinations and dash of audacity.” Classically trained virtuosos, this brother and sister have always wanted to play music together. Julie plays the harp, BUT Andreas plays the bandoneon. Harp with bandoneon?! They did it anyway! …and the result is truly… …breathtaking. Through this uncommon mix of instruments, combining the gritty heritage of the bandoneon with the majesty and elegance of the harp, a profound musical tension is created. In this video we are at Sula (Frøya) in Norway and have just started on our new big creative project: A 3 vinyl series called ENE, filled with harp and bandoneon magic. (First vinyl will be released May 2020). On our first day of composing and photographing, Sula was covered in a mysterious fog.

[Ep. 9] Germany Tour 2019: The Tiniest Castle in the World | Harp & Bandoneon Shenanigans w/ J&A

It was with no little anticipation that we returned for the second time to Burg Henneberg - the tiniest castle in Germany (or the world?)! This time around we brought not only Julie's Starfish harp, but also the majestic Bronze concert harp from Lion and Healy. Trolleying it up the stairs what not easy, but most definitely worth the effort! Thanks again Miriam for inviting us, we can't wait to be back for the next tour presenting our precious ENE-project.
