A unique musical experience with Celtic harp, bandoneon and the rare instrument tarhu.

This evening we’ll listen to the first part of the emotional and expressive work “Fyr · Pháros”, performed live from the lighthouse island of Sula. The music is composed on the island by the two siblings Julie and Andreas Rokseth (Norway), and Michalis Cholevas (Hellas). Inspired by stories from the Island, the sea and Aurora Borealis, this performance is the result of the trio’s current Artist in Residency on Sula, and one which took place in 2019, both arranged by SulaKultur AiR. An exciting encounter of music idioms from Norway, Argentina and the Mediterranean sea, blended in original compositions of the trio.
